How to Install git software package in Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

git software package provides fast, scalable, distributed revision control system, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install git

git is installed in your system.

Make ensure the git package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep git *

You will get with git package name, version, architecture and description in a table
